ETA 0-60 stock or modded, post up.

I took mine out today, it was about 80 degree fairenheigh , i did 3 0-60 runs video taping each one so i could see the exact times. i averaged about 14.4 seconds, thats with no real launch just feathering it down from 3k. Anyway i realized that the stock eta 0-60 is around 8.2-8.7 seconds. Im wondering if my 14's are normal for a 20 year old car with 125k miles on it. Ill admit i don't slam my car into gears when shifting just to be nice to the transmistion.

All eta owners post up, hell even iS owners could say what there actualy 0-60 is just to see what the average loss is from stock.

Yes i realize everyone here hates ETA's ive heard enough of it so don't bother posting if your just gonna be doggin the ETA.

Dude 14 seconds is slow as shit. It should be faster than that, even for an ETA.

i ran the 1/4 mile in 16.23 seconds at like 86 mph IIRC (not at home to see the time slip right now). all i had was a chip and a custom magnaflow exhaust with a stock 2.93 diff.

you should definately be able to hit 60 mph in less than 14 seconds.

Thats what i was thinking, tommorow ill try it with a hard launch, then do a tune up and test again, also does old diff fluid take much away from performance?

Does your car still have the 4.10's in it?

My 86 eta runs the quarter in 15.4 at 89mph. This was w/ 4.10 gears. It's prolly quicker now w/ 3.73's.

LOL, it was a huge newbtastic misunderstanding, lol. I swapped the 7k tach in but didn't swap the code plug, so i though i was shifting at 4500rpm but really i was shifting at around 3000rpm because the tach was reading wrong.

I swear that my old eta wasnt that slow. It got to 60 pretty quick. Everyone always says that etas are super slow, but honestly I never had a problem with mine..

But I probably cant remember right. It's been a while. I swear that compared to my S52B32 car the eta still wasnt horribly slow, but I know that cant be right. My brain is trying to convince itself that the eta wasnt terrible.. giving me a damn headache too.
