Good thinking but the only problem with that is that its not accurate. I just bought a 1 quart oil can with a pump on it.

Nice.. wish I had that.. But even so, it is very accurate.. the top plug is your level; basically, you fill up until it leaks out. you wait until it stops leaking, and, assuming the car is level, you are done.

Well IIRC the bently and the Haynes manuals both say to fill it until you can feel the fluid on you little finger when sticking it in the whole.
Now with the diff, this is true, fill it til it comes out but the tranny is a bit different. I doubt anything bad will happen but just letting you know.
Oh and if you're looking for another thing to do to your car, grab some redline diff oil too. That shit makes all the whining go away in the lsd. I bought all of mine, tranny and diff, for 42 bucks shipped.
