subframe/TA bushings werent fun, heatercore is next on my list, been putting it off for a year

pedal box is a bitch cause of the position you have to lay in. getting it out of the donor car was easy cause the motor was already out and i think we cut the firewall out

you don't even have to remove the valve cover. I don't think it even makes it easier - just more likely you'll drop crap into your head.

Out of our 5 hours working, a solid 2 were just looking and arguing.
Do it with the everything suspended. Its especially easy if youre installing urethane bushings :) They pretty much slide right in. All you have to do is undo the brake line (1st rubber one to hard line) so it doesnt pull on it and it will come down a long ways.

that was a pain in the ass.

especially what pissed me off was reading the instructions. they show it as being simple. "just unscrew this and this bolt." ... "Yeah I freaking know that, but try to get in there and do it."
I did the starter on an M30 but it was the same thing, I can see the bolts, I know I'm supposed to remove them, but I can't! Not without removing a bunch of other stuff first and then its still almost impossible to get a wrench on there.
The heater valve as well, not difficult just tedious, I never want to spend that much time under my dash again, my fingers are still sore.

I'm going to have to say the heater core/valve was the biggest Pain in the ass ever. Having coolant leaking into the floor of the car sucked enough. But having to fix it was just plain retarded. I managed to do the job upside down in the drivers seat with my feet out the sunroof.

                    5 lug swap...no problem.
                    Heatercore...Fuck that shit.

This thread makes me LOL. It always makes me think half way into a hard job something like this:

"Maybe just transferring my m30 into another shell would be easier..."

                          ...
