I can't believe this, an e30 forum is suggesting a member buy a Honda over an e30 WTF! A s2000 is a nice car but at 2800lbs and 240hp it is an easy target for a swapped e30 and the e30 has four seats. However that being said an e30 has zero appeal to anyone except you and you e-friends so if you want to impress a girl go with the Honda.

S2000 are great cars, so are Hondas. I really don't see how we are comparing a 20yr old sedan to a new sports car anyways they are completely different and incomparable.

all im sayin is you cant really compare the two but if you want to save money and have a nice car in the end... go with a swapped e30

s200 is just gonna end up with the appeal of an mr2. noody likes those. at least with the e30, you'll still have a classic.

as for quality of hondas.... they are shit... they were sposta be cheap maintenance free cars but you cant do anything to the engines without em goin bad. imo it takes alot more to get a honda to do what a bmw can in the first place.
thats comparing honda to bmw. not e3o to s200 but dont get me wrong, hondas might be ok cars but compared to a bmw....

as for a swap, youre gonna get the full feel of the car and you get to say you did this. it will be more reliable to you and you'll have more comfort in its performance. its a fun car and less of an expense for a college student (e30) and you'll have room in the back and trunk if you need to move somthing small. and im plenty sure that you'll end up needing to haul more than one preson on occasion.

a 2 seater is a bad idea for college. go with the e30 or option c.

Wow your an idiot too.. The white s2000 with the wing is REAR wheel drive, just like all other s2000's. Wings on any car can be functional, doesn't matter RWD, AWD, FWD it still making down force.

okay duh it might take alot to get a 20 year old car to meet with a newer car of course.

i know plenty about s2000.... they make power in the high rev range so take offs are pretty slow compared to driving a 1995 bmw 325. a friend i went to school with had a turbo'd s2000 with stock mamnagment and it was nice but it took way too much to maintain it. high octane race gas and it was still a dissapointment. he only gained bout 30hp with the turbo and about 7 with race gas. those engine may be able to take boost really well but it takes too much to make boost inmo. it could have just been his setup but the turbo was a waste.

i mean if you strap a SC on an s50 you'll be set. u can run over s2000's all day

it not just swap an engine and be done either, springs, shocks, new bushings, right wheels, right diff ratio and you can really do some movin. i mean e30 are pretty boxy and they have huge roll but with tha right stuff you can haul so much ass...

and really theres no poin in insulting sombody over their opinions. im just tryna help op out thats all. its not an arguement between one another. so really, stop being such assholes.
