i know plenty about s2000.... they make power in the high rev range so take offs are pretty slow compared to driving a 1995 bmw 325. a friend i went to school with had a turbo'd s2000 with stick mamnagment and it was nice but it took way too much to maintain it. high octane race gas and it was still a dissapointment. he only gained bout 30hp with the turbo and about 7 with race gas. those engine may be able to take boost really well but it takes too much to make boost inmo. it could have just been his setup but the turbo was a waste.

i mean if you strap a SC on an s50 you'll be set. u can run over s2000's all day

it not just swap an engine and be done either, springs, shocks, new bushings, right wheels, right diff ratio and you can really do some movin. i mean e30 are pretty boxy and they have huge roll but with tha right stuff you can haul so much ass...

and really theres no poin in insulting sombody over their opinions. im just tryna help op out thats all. its not an arguement between one another. so really, stop being such assholes.

Hate to quote myself, but I think you missed it the first time....

    Food for thought:
AP1 s2000, stock motor with a GT2871r, Evo 9 intercooler, AEM engine management, and 3" exhaust makes 350whp on 91 octane pump gas. This car made 190whp before turbo was installed, 350-190= 160whp gain on pump gas. Oh and you dont make 7hp with race gas on a turbo car, you can easily make another 50whp.

well if i dont know what im talkin about how about you try to explain it.

tell me what advantages an s2000 has over a swapped SC'd e30. tell me a stock s2000 can run over a properly swapped s5x with a nice SC and all the suspension goodies, the ill shut up

so go ahead and start proving yourself kid. im listening...

i can get a 318 and rebuild the head and strap on a turbo and haul way more ass than a s2000. no, i can get a M40 with a SC and save gas, and still rape an s2000 in the ass and come out clean ready to do it again...! :)

I never said that it doesn't serve a purpose. The S2000 looks like a street car, so I don't get why someones needs a big wing for a street car and the BMW looks like a track car, so I can see why it is on there.

Yes you are right, wings like that are completely worthless on the street. But I highly doubt that car see's the street very often, sadly thats probably a show queen with real high end parts on it, or its a time attack type car.

That's the thing, I don't. I wouldn't be saying car X sucks if I couldn't even get the RWD vs FWD correctly.

Actually my post (#61 in this thread) was showing you how easy it is to make 350whp on a stock s2000. Your answer to an s5x'd vs s2000 has been said multiple times in this thread, and these car's aren't really comparable.

As for that link, Im not sure what your wanting to know by "what was used in these engines?". Internals are forged and balanced, motor is designed to be revved really high to make lots of power for their liter guidelines. The last post in that thread explains most of it.

1993 mr2 turbo hands down if you want performance.

if you want a daily driver... s2k's are a shitload of fun, they have NO torque though... your gonna wanna be above 4K rpms most of the time.

if i could go back in time though, i would have just gotten a wrx cause now i cant drive to the mountains or anything of that nature with my spec v.
