Is it possible for you to disclose the whereabouts of these clips? :p
Actually I think it's closer to $6 or $7 for ten clips at wholesale these days. Blunt on here has gotten them to me at very decent prices in the past, I'm not sure what he'd charge now but I'll bet it's cheaper than BavAuto!
I've already got new clips. I had them to replace my "i" lip's clips that even though they were not broken, the lip was constantly falling off.
What I'm going to do is use the stock clips until I get a splitter. Which will probably be a 3in one from 318isBMW that will have the same style splitter stays like Fidhle's. I'll probably look into securing the back of the lip to the back of the valence somehow too once I get that going.
EDIT: Girlscout cookies and Mountain Dew Voltage rules.
Oh, anyone know what kind of paint I can get off the shelf at an autozone or wherever that'll be similar to the finish of the bumper trim? (SEM isn't sold anywhere around here)

Just FYI. The screws on the front that fidle mounted his with(I'm drawing a blank on what their called), I don't provide those, but I will throw in a bunch of screws for the underside, but not the two adjustable ones on the front. He found his off of ebay if I remember, so you'll have to source those from there, or wherever. I don't think they were expensive though.
Nice. Real subtle. Can you not read that I didn't have any issues with a slammed car and lip with no splitter? As long as your clips are new the lip will be fine, adding zip ties will just add to the danger of your lip being dragged and scraped to shit.
Well it's nice to know they have perfect roads in NH. However, that isn't the case here in TX (or where the OP lives). Believe it or not, some of us need to drive through parking lots too.
To say that a lip falling off and being ran over countless times by cars (and 18 wheelers) behind you, is better than it being sanded gently by the road until you can pull over and reattach it is pretty insane to me.
Genius, if the kid drives with some sense, factory hardware will be perfectly adequate. This zip-tie bullshit is ridiculous, are the $3 clips enough to break the bank?
Yeah, but if he want to be slammed like the r3v kool kidz then his lip isn't gonna last very long, depending on how crappy the roads are (again, read my point about all the lipless e30s out there). BTW I have brand new clips on my car, and never complained about them being expensive(and didn't stop me from using additional ties). I guess having a high "r3ved lip" count is cooler than doing something extra to try and protect the one you already have...
Try again. Or not... I've had experience where they've worked, and that's all that really matters to me :).
