I'll plead the 5th on actual numbers, but I'd have to say that on the right road with no traffic, it amazes me how solid my track car is. Not a second where the car will flinch, and if for whatever reason it will, the back end of the car will give you warning faster than stores when it comes to holiday shopping. :DErick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

i know exactly what you mean marianno .. the m3 is like an extension of yourself. you just tell it what to do and it does it. it almost makes you think youre a better driver than you really are. and thats where you have to be carefulComment

I've had an experience like this. Even in my stock 318i. It responds the way I want it to, but when I start to feel its limits I come back to reality and realize my limits as an inexperienced driver. Its ecstasy until you crash.

Yeah it would. Nice sunny day, heading out to fry's to buy a head unit, sparse traffic on the freeway. Not far after the interchange from the 210 to 605. I love that hill.
I didn't feel one with my volvo though. It started freaking me out.Comment

Once?
above 110 mph regularly, until the ice incident. I have since only had it up to 90mph, can't wait till everything is repaired!
I will head to the drag strip then to see what she can really do!
Nice Mariano!
I once went 110mph in my E30 too...felt great....nobody around to bother me.
These bricks certainly go, don't they! ;)
I have been feeling more and more the same way about my E36 318i. Not very "quick" off the line, but once you get going, the thing does NOT want to stop. Once the car has it's momentum it just keeps going. It truly is indescribable like you said.Comment

fastest I have been is 135, after a while it really doesn't feel any different from 35. That is something I'd much rather do on a track, where I don't have to worry about cars cutting me off or getting a huge ticket. it's a totally different feeling and makes driving "fast" on the street seem pretty silly.Comment

Mariano- I've never driven above 100mph with my E30 (4dr 325i) but do i know what you're saying about 110. these days for my commute i take 110 south to the 10 and as long as i leave my place before 615am, 110 is great to ride.
i regularly do 80-85mph on the big left hand turn (going southbound). it's a blast. i feel like i can push the car bit more.
but i've seen so many cars crashed at that curve too, especially if it drizzled.Comment

I think he's being facetious.
I used to take my worn out e28 to 130ish - scary. Before that I had swapped EG Civic to 137 redlining in 5th on the way to Mammouth. Haven't had my new e30 above 90...yet!
Two of my favorite stretches of freeway are on the 101 North and 15 South. On the 101 it's the downhill section after Thousand Oaks going into the Ventura/Oxnard valley. On the 15 it's the downhill section after Victorville from the high desert into San Bernadino - just have to keep an eye out for man.-Matt
