Wow, WTF man? Go read my post again, nowhere in it did I say you were an idiot/asshole/any thing of that nature. I said FOR ME it isn't worth it to do that shit on the street. I literally watched a close friend die in front of my eyes while the paramedics were trying to save him and two others leave in an ambulance, thankfully I ended up with minor injuries and was able to ride away.

It's exactly like nando said, I've got no issue with what YOU choose to do.

        Relax man.

After tracking a 150hp+ crotch rocket, going fast with doors and a roof lost most of its appeal. It just feels to easy by comparison. Don't get me wrong. I still enjoy hitting an apex with my tires screeching and power sliding out of a turn. In my younger dumber days i managed to get a land rover up to 110 for about 20 miles. That and i can't afford to get a ticket. I think z31maniac was referring more to the kamikaze riders in and drivers in the canyons. Completely different level of risk then what your discussing but some of these young bucks who look up to you don't know the difference. There is a difference between driving fast and driving stupid and we all know you would not do anything to harm that sweet little car. Again moving on.

And for those fast and furious fans, you don't get that tunnel feeling until you hit about 165. So your not going to attain it in your e30.

One of the things I love about the E30 is how much fun it is to rip around a corner or whatever and be just barely over the speed limit...

Like the furious hauling ass stuff, but slow!

'Course, if I had Marianos motor, it would not be slow now, would it?

Actually, with my M20 (I only state M20 cuz I wasn't sure if you were referring to the 4 banger) mated to 3.73, I was able to pull pretty hard even at 130. After the 4.10's went in, that pull went out with the 3.73s. Now I can barely get pull at 110. But everything below that is FUN!

is a stock M20 really that anemic? I do almost 90 in 3rd gear with the 4.10s, it's not exactly fast above 100 but it still accelerates pretty decently, even in 5th gear.

Dudes, the M20 isnt that big of a dog. With my eta engine 100mph was no problem.

I got my ix to an indicated 137 when I was in high school. It was literally tached out. I do not tend to drive like that very often. I regularly hit 100 in my e36 but its just this one passing zone on the way to my rental props. Up hill and about 3 miles long.

My favorite car to drive was my 318is and it was on a well sorted stock suspension. I've never felt so comfortable driving fast. The cars input to me was incredible, even with the back end letting go I was confortable.

e30 m3 or mcoupe is next.

Dude dont worry about it. Until very recently, my 325 also redlined there. Then M50B25 happened.
