Sounds like VB has declined in quality. Maybe the next move is to a different format? The other two forums I frequent switched from VB years ago to https://invisioncommunity.com/

Would suck to have to do that after the effort and cost that has been put in to upgrade to the latest VB, but it sounds like there isn't going to be any improvement to their software any time soon.

Agreed. The new format discouraged me to lo log on here as frequently. All the reasons above.

Only problem for me is, the amount of time it takes for pages to load on my cell phone.
I still have 4G so that may also contribute to the speed of loading pages, but it use to be much faster even with huge picture files.

Miss the old format too. But the change to this format had to happen, unfortunately!

This format loads a lot slower than it should, and I hate the way the "New Topic" function works.

S14.net runs on VB 5.5.6 and doesn't have all the bugs and slow speeds that r3v has had since the update(s).

I wonder how this forum is still rocking the old VB when everyone else was forced to update, even with the "security" risks...

My only complaint is the slowness. But lets be honest, the server computer is probably like Hillary's except with more porn on it.

The company that sells VB5 runs most of its large forums on VB3.

Pelican Parts runs its forum on VB3. It's pretty fast with 1,300 users online. But the E30 subforum is empty.

Ah ha! That's what's slowing the forum, redundant threads.

Between complaints about the forum, spammers/complaints about spammers, and noobs being noobs it's a wonder we can even post a reply!

                                Solution, ban all users.
