    Home made e30 etched tumbler

The wifey bought one of those printer/engraver/plotter thingies and instantly wanted to try it out on something. Grabbed some clip art from the web, vectored/plotted it, then stuck it on my favorite tumbler for etching... (ignore the finger prints, the frost is pretty consistent)

So you wrapped it in vinyl and then acid etched the exposed glass? Looks great.

Wondered if they would be desirable. Should we list them?

Yessir. Instead of weeding out the external parts of the pic, used the masked negative and etching compound to frost the glass. This is one of many ideas for "her" machine lol.

I'd take a set of 4 glasses if you decide to do a run of these

Definitely going to do some, and will do a "for sale" thread once we get the details ironed out. :) She is pretty stoked about doing them, and was already trying to figure out a way to get the tumblers in bulk this morning before work.

The glass used in the pic is a Luigi Bormioli, which is a high quality crystal. They aren't the cheapest, or most expensive, but the quality:price ratio is on point.

That being said, looks a little over $100+s&h for a set of four should cover costs and leave a little to keep supplies/tooling going. The etching acid is kinda pricey, not quite sure how far the bottle will go yet. It's been a few years since we did any etching and want to say we only got a set of 8 wine glasses out of a $40 bottle - but - this is thin-line for the most part, didn't seem to take much.
