Thanks, I'm leaning towards using this one as I had no intention of this job & want to spend as little as possible, also, it's a street car so drivability in traffic is a concern. I have not gotten that far, right now I'm focused on finding out if I need another motor.

    Nice work 💪

Going to use a lightweight flywheel?
One data point: I have a friend with a supercharged S52, and he says a lightweight flywheel drops the revs too fast when combined with the SC drag.

It's probably personal preference though. I always go for the lightest flywheel I can find, which was a 7.5lb RHD unit that's behind my M52.

    It's out, I'm freaking dead.

The clutch, flywheel & pressure plate look very good. I'll be getting a new clutch & pressureplate.

First Active Autowerke tune. I never got over 5.5lbs & never redlined. The motor was already going (IMHO)

    What tune are you running?

It's official, motor is toast. I'm soooo thrilled.

Extraction has begun, I'll disassemble it once it is out.

Just began trying to do the leak down test yesterday & my 12 year old compressor died.

    Picked this up today.

    Tucked away.

Until today I had no misfire. 2&3 are misfiring after I replaced the oil & filter. Leakdown tester came, I'll test tomorrow.

The SC has its own oil cooler system.

Can you put PCV into the intake? (VENT)

Does the supercharger have a restrictor or need one for the oil supply?

If your cylinders are misfiring and have fuel in them the comp test numbers will be low.

The plot thickens (he said seemingly to himself)

It was suggested I do another compression test with all plugs out. Here's what I have: Also, the smoke is worse.

I replaced the "PVC" when I put in the M50 manifold, the SC has it blocked at it's inlet so I think is bypassed. The output that went to it is now running to the intake tube.

The bronze is the plug the blue hose used to connect to, the small hose on teh intake is where the blue hose is going & it has a valve inline

What are you doing for crankcase ventilation?

Surprised to see an engine failure at such low boost. What kind of engine management / tune are you running?

Another oddity, no blue smoke until temp is at 1/4.

Here are the plugs. (in for under 300 miles).

Looks like I blew a cylinder.

Did a compression test and am 10 to 15 lbs lower than before the SC ( was 188-195) on the still good cylinders (175-185) but have 125 on 3. Oil on top of most pistons 3 is the worst.
