Honestly, I'm really not meaning to fight or argue. I just want to know what makes an LS1 superior to the CA-t. Then I'll have something to talk about with the guys around the water cooler tomorrow at work.
Ummm, I'm all one for imports, but even I know that is fucking stupid. The LSx engine is a superior engine.. Not just to the CA, but lots of others. All aluminum V8.
Personally i'm diggin the swap, tuff as nails engine ready to have the shit thrashed out of it and make power all day long.

And the LS1 has a much larger range of bolt ons to pretty much make a ridiculous amount of power. Get bored with the performance from your chip and exhaust, throw a cam in that you could just about pick up at your local walmart and hello more power

As far as the LS1 vs. the CA motor, you can't logically compare the two.

You would have to throw at least $3,000 into a CA to make it somewhat equal to the LS1, even then it falls short.
With full bolt-ons, LS6 cam, LS6 heads, and a tune, you have a 400+whp monster of an engine! :bow:
Fuck all the haters. The LSX family of engines are the best bang for the buck, PERIOD! BMW can't even come close for the price. Too bad GM is filing for bankruptcy tomorrow. I doubt the government will keep our performance minded consumers happy in the future... :-(
