Made a little more progress on Sunday.

We fixed the issue with the motor mounts, since I had the TMS reinforcment kit welded in, the thicker back of the subframe would not allow a nut to go on the stud. So we rotated the engine mounts 180° and ground out the hole a bit on the driver side and PRESTO we were able to easily get a nut on and a socket to tighten it down.

Also got the new front hubs and studs installed (didn't get to install my Massie 280mm kit due to being sent the wrong brake pads), so I should get that done later in the week when the correct pads get here.

Also got the rebuilt calipers, UUC rotors and Porterfield pads, Vorshalg studs on the rear. Got the diff filled with fluid and bolted in as well.

Now it's mainly just finish the wiring/vacuum hoses and see if it will start up!

Did you connect any of your wiring harness to you sensors? Do you have labels on all of your plugs?

I've connected some. I'm going to use the little guide of the DOHC Wiki to double check the ones that I have connected are correct. And then the label the others.

Here is the only pic I bothered to stop and take all day on Sunday.

              It looks so minty fresh!

Nice! I'm running non-vented at the back, too (blanks, not drilled or slotted).

OK so I just got done being eaten alive my mosquitoes. So I got the fuse box/wiring harness/fusible link wired up.

Also got all the sensors hooked up that I could without getting the intake manifold on.

Went ahead and took a pic my non-existent front brakes. You can see the Massive adapter, the UUC sway and adjustable end link.

                    Oh sweet Wilwood tastiness.....

So the correct pads came in for my Dynapro calipers today so I went and threw everything on the car real quick and tightened it down.

Looks like my ugly, tasteless, mad-tyte JDM wheels are good for something. Can you say clearance? And there is even more room than what it looks like in the pictures. 6 pistons and 332x32 rotors could squeeze in there I think.

Still not big enough to fill out 17s, but looks much better than the stockers.

My dad is coming over tomorrow with the power bleeder and we will bleed the master, lines and clutch.

Saturday morning my dad and Uncle are coming over to help me get the radiator in, intake/tb on, finish up the wiring, and hopefully try to fire it up.

                    *fingers-crossed*

So we've got the intake and stuff on and basically everything wired up (except O2 sensor and PCV valve connected to valve cover).

Aren't getting fuel, the fuel pump isn't coming on. Everything else works (HVAC fan, windows, lights, etc) and the engine turns over. I suspect a problem with getting power to the DME or the DME itself.

Brakes are bled and drivetrain is all bolted down and ready to go.

we're both pretty close in our progress, you are slightly ahead of me though. I still need to bleed my m-brakes and hook up the entire cooling system. i won't be able to do it until tuesday though, as the local dealer was closed today and I needed some plugs for the head (ones next to temp sensor) :(

                        anyway, keep at it brother!

Thanks! It sounds like (from my troubleshooting thread in 24v section with FredK) it may just be the fuel pump relay. But I'm not going to expect it to be something so simple! That would just be too easy.

Yes, but I'm much more jealous of your build! But mine is spiraling out of control into a track car build, when that was never the original intention. And then "Fuck it, let's go for it" attitude took over.

All I can say is PRESSURE BLEEDER!!!!! We had to bleed all the lines, new master cylinder and four NEW calipers. The pressure bleeder made super easy. I'm sure it will need another one for good measure after driving for a bit, but the brake and clutch pedal both feel really good in the right now.

oh god, wiring problems are never fun to track down. took me and farbin 3 days to figure what the hell was wrong with my car when i dropped in a fresh m52.

                              good luck man.

                                Jesus. Fucking. Christ.

                                Can you say mothafucking noobtastic?

There was no fuse in the fuse block for the fuel pump. Ran to the parts store and got one, put it in, and the fucking engine fired right up and settled down into nice growling idle.

GOing to put coolant in the car, tidy up a coupe of vacuum hoses, fill up the trans, wire up the fan and take it off the jackstands and see if the motherfucker actually drives.

Still some work to do but god damn did it feel good to hear that thing start up!
