Did the rear Bilstein/H&R setup on the Touring tonight after work. Subframe bushings this weekend, and then she's all finished.

I was stoked to find out that this car didn't have SLS on it! Was a nice plus.

Did you have the spring adjuster all the way up when using the short sleeves?

When using the short sleeves I had them 3/4 of the way up, and then to keep the axle from popping out I put them all the way up.

However, it also depends on where you welded your perch.

Ok thanks! Do you remember how the tension on the spring was at 3/4? Was the spring loose?
I welded mine higher than yours, maybe too high haha thats why im asking :)

I think the spring was pretty snug, but I'm not 100% on that.

This is without the upper mount, but kind of gives you an idea.

Ok looks like mine with the adjuster in the middle more or less.

Do you think this is ok?? With the adjuster in the middle the spring is pretty tight, if i lower the adjuster the spring starts to come loose.

the weight of the car will hold in the spring. it looks fine. Mine are about 1/2 down - my tubes are 2" shorter than stock, and IIRC, the adjusters are 4", so my perches are 4" below the tops of the tube. I have the adjuster about 1/2 way up. any lower and I'd worry about the CV shafts hitting the frame.

are those the GC ix camber plates? super nice parts. I like the trick UHMW/HDPE bearings. no moving parts, they will last basically forever.

Yeah but i dont like the spring to "rattle around" if going to fast over a bump :) If its just a tiny bit its ok but if too much i dont know :P

Yep its GC plates, looks super nice! The bearings i assume is the green plastic looking ring?

Nisse, those look right on! Since you're using those camber plates especially you shouldn't notice any rattle.

When my car was major low I didn't notice any abnormalities.

Man, I really need to grab those GC plates. My stock ones bind up any time I turn the wheel.

 I'm considering joining you guys in the S54 AWD swap after reading the thread a few times.

Baha I think, but I'm not going to go as crazy as you guys, though.

S54, stock iX drivetrain, manual brakes, Frankenpan.

The Evo will be gone in a few weeks, so the iX will be my track car now, and I don't want to turbo the car due to reliability.
