Hi. I'm from South Africa. Unfortunately this car is in terrible condition. Its at the dealer down the road from me. Good ones are hard to find. Only a few left.

My dad had a silver 333i when i was little. Wish he kept his stuff.

I imagine its cheap, cause the Rand went for a ball of shit the last 2 months. R10.50 for $1. A good 333i will set you back R150 000 so. $15 000

Always been a little confused what the SAUR. one was meant for, believe it is manifold pressure but why would you need that when it was N/A.

There is a bit of a story behind the dash guage. It stopped working I believe when some work was done on the car but a new one was sourced. Got the receipt for it somewhere (this was before I owned it).

The pictures on the gumtree look more than reasonable but obviously in the flesh very different.

New plugs arrived today now the fun starts to try and fit them.

Will try to get a photo of the exhaust over the weekend it is a work of art.

Awesome stuff man. Please share your car on e30clubsa.co.za/forum sure the guys will appreciate it an enjoy it. They also have a 333i register there so would be nice to add yours. I think yours is on of 2 in the UK. the other one has nearly zero mileage.

I used an m21 turbo manifold on my m20 turbo years back, and it worked real well if youre trying to stick to something oem. The exhaust ports are smaller on the m21, so the manifold will need to be bored out alittle bit. A dremel works. Also the mounting holes arent quite perfect, so slotting is required. Theres alot of info on the manifold mods, the manifold itself can be alittle hard to come by though

                  333 is an M30B32.

                  M20/21 stuff won't fit.

Man, fantastic car, OP! Love the turbo setup. So....period correct.

Well plugs were a mission. Number 1 had been bodged at some time so had to recover the thread. In the end plugs are easy Sealey thin wall plug socket with quarter inch drive convertor. Had some issues with the injectors after having them cleaned but am now up and running. Have been able to adjust map on the Zytek, managed to get hold of the software, unfortunately not got the Zytek breakout box so if anyone knows where one of these are let me know. It is a com port to 5 pin DIN arrangement in a galvanised box. At the moment I am having to change settings then remove chip from ECU and flash on a willem programmer and cannot see live map data.

Plot above is WOT in 4th No gear changes from 1000rpm to 5000rpm so 25mph to 120mph elapsed time was 22 seconds which I don't think is too sad considering how long it takes to build boost.

Very sweet car, except for the hood vents.

+1 get rid of those hood vents and get a normal hood and you win.
