THanks guys. No plans as of yet for the rest of the car. It is really just a to bench test the S14 once it is finished. I would like to find a genuine swapped or rolling shell E30 M3 to put the drivetrain into one day. But I think as it is a '84 318i shell the S14 should go really well in there. Like quick. Really quick. Hope so anyways.

    2000 M5 Winter beater
1984 318i Coupe 2.5 S14 going in the car below.
1988 M3 Lachssilber: I'm the second owner, currently recommissioning.

hot damn that is a sexy find, probably something you can have a little more fun with too without having to worry about dinging up your old m3

Buckets and shims cleaned and fitted, Schrick 284/276 cams torqued down, I am using assembly lube from Clevite. Next is to time it up. The sprockets don't have elongated holes for the bolts so no minor adjustments possible yet. Just going to set them as schrick and bmw would have them, and see. Once it's timed up, I will fit valve cover and oil pan, and start bolting on all the auxiliary stuff. Once that's all done, it goes in the car. This summer hopefully.

                  Why? 320is > M3 in my opinion.

Holy crap, you guys don't read. It's a normal 318i with an S14 swap and a tech 2 kit.

It's a replica. Says so in the title.

Geez kids. Either read, or get off the lawn.

Which must be why the 320is was the most successful touring car of all time....lol

That's pretty much meaningless to me, because M3 street car isn't an M3 race car dot dot dot dot lol

Also I find the real 320is more aesthetically appealing than M3, plus muh lightness etc.

                              I'll just leave this here:

Was getting the car towed out of storage today and had to cancel the tow causr I couldn't find the key dammit. Lots of little hurdles like this in this build. Makes a m20 stroker build seem easy.
