So "It should take about a week for coating and then a few days for final assembly" in texas really means 28 days. But that should be expected since we just past 7 months on a "2 months tops" job.

But progress, no matter how long it takes, is a nice thing.

Do you think they'd be done faster if they took less photos to send you? ;)

The 4100s are drop in inserts that adjust at the top similar to a koni. The 5100s are inverted and use the outside of the strut tube as shock body. The 5200s are double adjustable and I think they require external canisters.

                            Hey man-

I got to say, I've probably read through this thread 3-4 times. SO awesome. I have a question pertaining to your flares. I'm building a autocross/HPDE car, first one I have ever done. I want to put some fat meats under the girl. I have been leaning towards flares for 2 reasons, One, both of my drivers side stock flares are bumpy, a fatty probably tried squeezing between cars and knotted them up.....and I just think they look cool while being functional. Coming from drag racing, stretched tires seem absolutely pointless, I'd like to see if I can get 10-11" wheels under the back, and 8-9" under the front with good meat. possibly a 255 up front, and 275 out back. I want a nice wide stance. I think that's why I have gravitated to your build. Since you have ran both the IE and Fiberwerks flares, what would you recommend for good coverage. I also have seen KAMOTORS flares, what are your opinions on them?

Maybe I'm way off in left field. I know you run some pretty thick spacers for clearance. Your thoughts please?

Can't help with the flares, but if you are wanting to build a track/autos car, I'd strongly recommend you find a way to fit equal sized tires and wheels all around. It makes stuff last much longer and handles better.

What engine do you have or how soon are you planning on upgrading? A 225/45/15 RS3 is more than enough tire for your usual m20 or m50 swap. S50/2 and higher swaps would want more tire.

I've always wondered about the reasoning behind this... Why wouldn't you want to fit the most rubber you can in the rear if it's more than the front?
