    1) is your ICV, the rail next to the fuel rail is an air rail that feeds each of the trumpets on the engine side of the throttles. Allowing the car to idle as mentioned. You could add a port to the plenum to get air or you could even fit its own separate filter. as your running alpha N there is no MAF to get confused.

    2) looks like the Vanos Solenoid / acuumulator

    3) The lines. The third line will be for emissions. It goes a to a breather setup on the filler neck. There is normally a solenoid to allow the ecu to control when this line breathes back to the tank, alternatively you dump it in the bin and cap the line. I think its normally hooked up the the inlet. Anyway, not overly required.

I dunno man, the guys in the UK are getting results with a rolling road mapping as stand alones. If getting a chip burned on the dyno cost me $400-500, that's definitely a savings over a $2,000 stand alone.

Thanks man, super helpful! What do you think about just dumping the crankcase air/oil separator into a external tank like some of the DTM cars did back in the day?

I plan on dumping my crankcase and rocker cover breathers straight into a tank when I do my M54 swap. Make sure it has the ability to "breathe" enough and should be fine. Again because you have gone with a chip / alpha-n I think the engine will be much less fussy than an standard setup would be.

Nice eric. I need to see that exhaust. For your radiator I have an integrated reservoir rad from a 318. I'm not sure if it will give you clearance to work with but for now its just sitting around in my garage.

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

I don't know that a 318 radiator would be enough cooling power for a Euro s50, would it? The engine is nearly twice as big.

Thanks man, but I'd be worried that it wont have enough cooling capacity??? My oil temps are already getting to 250f or higher. Next time I start the car, I should have a working water temp guage.

Do you have a first hand problem with them? I'd love to hear it if so.

Lambo - that motor is clean! Those PTG carbon airboxes were HUGE compared to the normal ones! http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...&highlight=PTG

I have first hand experience with AST but not by putting them on my car. I don't like their shocks for the same reason many other people don't like them. I can't tell you how many Moton/AST shocks I've had to fix that have been built by AST within the month.

Interesting. Do you mind giving me more details? PM is fine if you don't want to blast it on the internet. So far my dealings with AST have been less than good. Front struts sent to vender closely related with AST in texas on 5 June with the verbal promise that they would be modified into 5100's and back to me before 22 Sept. I figured almost 3 months was long enough to hack off a set of tubes and weld a new set on (exaggeration towards simplification of course).

Email I received yesterday from said vender:

Yes, I do have some good news for you! The casings have been in a "picked" status for a few weeks now, but this afternoon I got an update from AST-USA saying the parts are ready and waiting for the remainder of the shock kits. The pallet should be shipping next week sometime, so I should have another update in the next week or two when they arrive. Again, I can't apologize enough for the delays and length of time this has taken.
So we way I read this, the new tubes haven't even left Europe yet. They still need to clear customs/welded to my E30 M3 hubs/assembled. At this rate, I might have them back by the time next season ends...

I'm seriously seriously thinking about asking for my stuff back and going with JRZ.

That's a shame they have taken so long. I would almost say stay with them because you have so much time invested but, they don't really deserve your business at this point.
