Good luck, can't wait too see the final product.
i would think it would go better in a 2.93lsd. would it help you keep the turbo spool'd longer... and not haveing to shift gears so damn early when you car r3vs out to 5k?

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

True, I guess it may not be. I just felt like adding something seems more simple than taking something complex apart and putting it back together. We'll see how this works out.

I was extremely surpirsed how easy it was. All you need is some ratchets and sockets, and an adjustable wrench. The actual AC compressor is held in by only 2 bolts, I believe a 13mm and 19mm. I used the adjustable to remove the fittings on allthe lines, and a screw driver takes care of the fan and condensor. Its extremly simple compared to other stuff. If you've ever removed your oil pan, this is easier, it just takes some time b/c theres alot of stuff.

the fan on the front of the ac condenser is important to the cooling of the car. it comes on when the car has reached a set temp [i dont recall what] and is used to stop overheating. Id suggest placing that back on the car.

The issue with the redline doesnt seem that bad considering that turbo diesel cars have low revs and boost.

                  I bombed Korea every night.

diesel also produces different pressures than gasoline. To compare the two is like apples and oranges.

It may, but I still have the fan on the back of the radiator. The condensor fan shouldnt make too much of a difference, Im sure it was more of a precation when BMW decided to put them there, Im sure its not an absolute need. I have to make sacrifices to make this work.

It does, its acually not a fan for the AC condensor, its for the cooling of the car. Theres a thermo switch on the motor that kicks the fan on when the temp gets to high.

E30s without AC did not come with that fan :) If you're removing your AC stuff, you're safe to remove that. Although I would leave that and remove your engine fan instead. ;)

Well, I didnt do much today, I didnt have time to pick up oil line fittings and stuff, so that will be tomorrow. Tomorrow Im also getting some black high temp paint, for this. Brought it to school and cleaned it, then gave it a sandblasting. It doesnt look great, but its smooth. Such a difference though. Also, everyone was hastling me about a valve cover gasket, well, it doesnt need one. I could have removed all the nuts holding the cover on with my fingers. They where so loose oil was coming out, and the gasket looks perfect, not stuck down or anything. More pics when I paint this. Thats all for now!
