The actual AC compressor is held in by only 2 bolts, I believe a 13mm and 19mm. I used the adjustable to remove the fittings on allthe lines, and a screw driver takes care of the fan and condensor. Its extremly simple compared to other stuff. If you've ever removed your oil pan, this is easier, it just takes some time b/c theres alot of stuff.
thanks...I may give this a shot this weekend since my AC is dead anyway...clean up the engine bay a bit :D

the fan on the front of the ac condenser is important to the cooling of the car. it comes on when the car has reached a set temp [i dont recall what] and is used to stop overheating. Id suggest placing that back on the car.

The condensor fan shouldnt make too much of a difference, Im sure it was more of a precation when BMW decided to put them there, Im sure its not an absolute need. I have to make sacrifices to make this work.

Well, I didnt do much today, I didnt have time to pick up oil line fittings and stuff, so that will be tomorrow. Tomorrow Im also getting some black high temp paint, for this. Brought it to school and cleaned it, then gave it a sandblasting. It doesnt look great, but its smooth. Such a difference though. Also, everyone was hastling me about a valve cover gasket, well, it doesnt need one. I could have removed all the nuts holding the cover on with my fingers. They where so loose oil was coming out, and the gasket looks perfect, not stuck down or anything. More pics when I paint this. Thats all for now!
