              so since it has diving boards and later style spoilers, that means it has the super eta engine right?

              can the ix front driveline be retrofited to a regular E30? the strut towers look to have less caster than a regular E30.

                no ix ever came with a super eta engine. and all 88's had the diving boards and late spoilers. even the 325is..

                aside from that, no the ix driveline won't work in a regular E30. the subframe and everything to do with the suspension is different.

                        so how do you tell a super eta from a regular 88? my buddy had one, and it had divingboards with the later spoiler.

                        I was thinking of dropping everything from the oil pan down including the tranny and transfer case. still think it wont work?

                            those stealies may have a diffrent offset than a normal e30 wheel cuz there made for an ix? i could be wrong though

                              I appreciate the offer but I think we'd have a hard time selling the tires if they weren't mounted on wheels and they wouldn't do us any good without wheels either. I think we're going to throw the snow tires and wheels up on craigslist to help fund the new tire purchase.

                                well if u get someone wanting just the tires let me know .. i need those steelies for the golf.. how about 100 plus whatever it costs to unmount the tires then shipping ??
