Geez, I haven't posted here in a long time. Congrats on the move back up here to NorCal. Maybe we'll see you at EuroSunday... which is this Saturday (I know, I know, but Sunday is Easter so they pushed it up one day).

Ryan actually used to live really close to me in Santa Barbara. He took a job in Morro bay I believe and he move up there and now he is on yet another adventure!!
The location is badass, it kinds like that around where I live except now day 2 acres is hard to come by.
Good luck with everything going on up there Ryan, I hope it all works out.
If it does, hook it up on some engine work.

Mark- I was going to go but I have too much going on this weekend to make it out tomorrow. In 2 weeks I will be there for sure though!!
Mariano- Of course I will be there. I am bringing the vert this year, gotta choose 1 and the M3 hasn't changed too much over the last year so shes staying at home.
Thanks guys!
Oh, and I got my truck- an '06 Dodge 3500 Quad Cab short bed. 5.9L I6 Diesel with 325hp/610ft. lbs. Its pretty sick, I am daily driving it now to keep the miles off the E30's.'88 M3.2 S54 Lachssilber/Black

First off: Ryan, you are always a source of inspiration (bad luck with accidents and perseverance to rebuild, along with useful life advice about worthless schooling and actual job skills) but this just takes the cake.
MAD props for doing this, I've always wanted to do something along the same lines.
If you don't mind saying, how is all this being payed for? Have you accumulated a large savings through all your years of dealership work or you just have good credit and a solid determination to make it work?
I could just imagine cruising a backroad and seeing an empty lot with a trailer and 2 extremely pimp e30's just parked out front... It would definately be out of the ordinary :P

Thanks man. I wish I could say I did this all on my own, but I do have some financial backing from my dad. I bought the property and got the morgage, he lent me the rest of the money for the shop. It will take me a while to pay it all back, but it will be worth it and I couldn't pass the opertunity up. I did do well with my career at the dealership and its time to put that money to work for me in a better way than I had before. I appreciate your feedback! I have worked hard to get where I am today, and I now feel like its all starting to pay off. I am still young, so this was a good time in my life to take this chance and make the necessary changes to move forward with my life.'88 M3.2 S54 Lachssilber/Black

Please post as many pictures of the shop progress as possible.
A G2G at said shop would be fun.
Heres some progress pics from the last few days. Got the building delivered off the truck with my forklift and another one I had to rent that was better "off-road" than mine could have been...
Takes 4 guys to watch one guy work.... lol
(left to right: my dad, truck driver, contractor, truck drivers son, my brother on the forklift)
The first pallet off the truck, just a bunch of nuts/bolts and other hardware.
These are the posts for the structure, took a while to unload everything off the truck (2hrs).
Roof top caps and 2 glass windows which almost got broken but were thankfully well packed.
This is 3 hours after they started working on putting up the structure..
6 Hours after starting...
This is the end of a full days work with a 5 man crew and the contractor helping aswell.
More progress today, but I am going out of town for the next 2 days. When I get back the building should be nearly complete (minus doors and some trim) so I can unload my storage unit into it and reduce some costs. Should be able to have my cars parked inside within 3 weeks of now I suppose! Time to decide what kind of flooring I want to do... splurge on race-deck flooring or just do epoxy coating?? Decisions, decisions...'88 M3.2 S54 Lachssilber/Black
