    M62B44/6-spd/ITB's T-bucket, Hot Rod Build #2

    For your entertainment, a pictorial of my currently in progress build. This is Mark II of the BMW V8 T-bucket build, you'll see Mark I in the background of these pics. Mark I took roughly 4 years to build, has been on the road in various iterations for 5 years now. Mark II has been in the works for just over a year & a half.

    Mark I:
    M62B44 non-vanos, M60B40 cams, double row timing chains, guides & chain idler gear
    Jaguar Eaton M112 on PartSpy adapters, making 6-8psi
    E34 Getrag 420G 6 speed manual, 260mm clutch, lightweight flywheel
    Mustang Coyote 5.0 long tube headers, flipped upside down, flanges modified. 3" Pypes M80 mufflers.
    70's Jaguar IRS, 3.54:1 open diff.
    SpeedyEFI/WTMtronics UA4C standalone EFI controller, paired cylinder injection, individual COP waste spark.
    STM32H7 processor running a fork of RusEFI called EpicEFI in Speed Density

    Mark II:
    M62B44 non-vanos, M60B40 cams, double row timing chains, guides & chain idler gear. (A M62TUB44 is used for mock up)
    Aftermarket ITB's for Toyo 1UZ on adapters
    E39 Getrag 420G 6 speed manual, 240mm clutch, lightweight flywheel
    Modular Ford Turbo kit headers, flipped around backwards on made bolt pattern adapters. 2.5" Pypes M80 mufflers
    70's Jaguar IRS, 3.54:1 PowrLok limited slip
    SpeedyEFI/WTMtronics UA4C standalone EFI controller, paired cylinder injection, individual COP waste spark with faux distributor for vintage look.
    STM32H7 processor running a fork of RusEFI called EpicEFI in Alpha-N with MAP Mult

                      Wow pretty amazing work! Are you a fabricator by trade?

                      There is a lot I love about this build. The fake dizzy stood out to me as pretty unique!

                      How does that shifter mount to the trans?

                              This is so bad ass. I had plans at one time to use a M70B50 V12 from a Rusty 750iL I had, in a 1936 Chevy Low Cab dump truck I'm building into a hot rod. Ended up scrapping that Idea because of how much a rebuild kit was going to cost for the M70. Was looking at like $4k + Just in parts.

                                  Oh no, I'm just a hobbyist.

                                  It looks funky, but using a little heim turnbuckle and modifying the BMW shift collar on the shift shaft gives me the H pattern for all gears. Having the pivot this low makes for some extreme shifter throw, opposite of a quick shifter. But the increased leverage is nice.
