Newman's E30/Skyline swap thread

    Got the top wiring harness all modded and in the car yesterday. This should be all of the wiring you can see in the entire engine bay.





    The carrier is a factory part. I used vinyl tape and split braided loom to cover the harness, I also relocated the dropping resistor to the interior of the vehicle.



    And here's the mess that I still need to contend with...

                  Well, I assume once it ends up in a few "Ricer" mag's, it will end up being gone thru again, and when that happens, you can look back on my suggestion.

                      vinyl tape in the engine bay? Is that a horrible idea or are you using special engineer vinyl tape that doesn't melt to all shit?

                        Haha, it's just electrical tape. It holds up fine.

                          Hmm. Must have been the tape i was using, then. Nothing like picking melted plastic goop off the inside of your engine bay!

                              i cant wait to start a build [not quite like this] My gf and i are moving to a new apt with a garage. You mentioned you taught yourself how to TIG weld... any resources that helped you along the way?
