I was looking for a beater for school as I have to drive 40 miles a day for class and I hate to put that kind of millage on my M as its already near 180k.
Then I found a nice little e30 in the rust belt. This thing is rusty. I swear half the diff has to be rust and the ebrake was rusted to the inside of the rotor so bad that we had to use a truck to pull it up the trailer to get it home and that still didn't break it free. Also it may have been in a slight wreck that will require me to replace the rear trailing arm.
But... it was $350, with a clean title, who can say no to that? (not that I haven't already spent that much on brakes and battery, lets not get started on rear suspension)
White leather interior, mystery wiring, 10 different kinds of spiders and half the original tool kit.
I plan to do awful unforgivable things to this car.
Before I do that though I need the damn thing to drive correctly. The rear wheel is cockeyed to shit so I'm starting out by replacing the rear subframe.
