now finish up and enjoy it!
Very dirty beater unfinished pics... but it drives
Not stupid fast or anything but it's pretty quick. Stock suspension means it really squats when you get on it.
This engine could really benefit from a raised rev limiter, it smacks the limiter too soon and the 2-3 shift brings it out of the powerband just a bit. So, I'll probably be looking into a Mark D chip soon.paint sucks

Fuckin great work man. Good inspirational thread. Looks like it rips pretty hard too.
Again awesome work, your a man with a serious sack for doing that by yourself.

Tiny little update as I've started doing some stuff again. I've been really busy with school and work, but I've still got lots to do with this car.
Here's what my shifter's looked like, pretty much since I've got it (note torn boot)
Here's what I did tonight in about 15 minutes in the dark (note torn lower boot)
New lower boot
New shift boot and new plastic/vynil knob
It's a lot nicer now, there was a nice rip in the old knob that made it even worse to drive with. But now there's no tranny noise inside the cabin, plus the new boot looks nice, yadda yadda, and the shifter is weighted and doesn't bend around like the stock rubber shifter does.
Also, this came with the lower boot but I didn't really see it's purpose, not sure if I was supposed to leave it on and do something with it or what.
Anyway, sorry for the "lame" update. In a week or so I'll probably be doing a dash swap in the middle of a college town, if that helps. :ppaint sucks

I love the bolts in the ash tray... right now mine contains 3 misc. nuts that go "somewhere", 1 bolt for the PS pump and a bunch of little cluster lights ;)
That acceleration vid. of the m50nv really sort of puts me on the fence with which motor to go with. Not thread jacking, but in your honest opinion, was m50 the way to or would you go m30? Or, wait, save and go s5x? Your thoughts are very appreciated.Need a part? PM me.

I want to drive an M30 car, but if I had the choice between those three, I'd just do an S50. That video was a bit downhill in some of second and third, so don't go directly comparing it to others. :p It was just a quick-and-dirty accel video.
