Welp time for new tires, here's the old setup

I was NOT kind to these, lol

Anyway this is long overdue... yeah I used the proper tool, I used a heat gun too. Whadda ya gonna do abouddit?

The rears had a bunch of body bonder or whatever stuck inside that made rolling them tough, but the fronts got a nice roll at least

New tires (and by new I mean used R888s)

      mmmmmm so much beef

Then I used them some more the next day

      Wheeeeeeee30! :)

Yeah I love the tires, but they are not going to last long (race takeoffs that are pretty worn already, had to scrape a bunch of OPR off em before we balanced em)

Here are a few more good shots from someone with a real camera. Bored of autox pics? Suck it, it's my build thread.

          No I don't wash it

          Damn that's sexy.

Thanks dood, 225/50, and probably really shitty seeing as they have little tread left. Yeah they're the 8s and yes they rub in the rear, also in the front but not on the fender there at least.

Actually, I've looked into this (because I am going to need to make one for my M42 swap) and it's a lot harder then you think. Clevis ends don't come in anything close to the right size needed to fit. They are either not wide enough or so big the hole through them is huge. I plan on just making my own clevis' and using a threaded rod when the time comes. Working at a machine shop has it's perks. ;)

Hmm, considering you've got early arches too... I'll rubbing like a motha. Might try 225/45's once I wear out my RS-3's.

Really I think of my car as a tool for laying expensive rubber on the pavement in the least economical way possible.

This last one was at the Oakland Coliseum, held by the SF region SCCA

I don't have any video of my car for this autox but here's the first time I set foot in my friend's 380whp 2900lb 285/30 hoosier-shod Evo

I actually set TTOD with a big AWD powerslide on the second run but I forgot to start the camera :(
