I hear that, bud. The most intensive part of bodywork/painting is the prep. You could easily drain a 40 hour work week into just the valances. I'd have ended with wet sanding on 600 grit, but honestly, both pieces look fantastic! Can't wait to see it all put together with that mean m30 lurking behind the 318i badge ;)

I'm impressed with your work. The car is really starting to come along!

And to think it's all being funded from the court winnings from that guy who hit your car with his bike. Man, you must have really taken them to the cleaners.

Alright, one step closer to being done. Replaced the stock a/c fan with a spal pusher fan, and replaced an old fuel hose under the car as I was starting to smell fuel.

                Rear

another rear shot, with dual trunk lights

Spal fan, nice and quiet at half speed and moves LOTS of air on full speed and still quiter than the stock a/c fan.

Mounting the fogs to the valance

And the rest of the trim

Front is on, came out pretty good for a first time doing prep work. Big thanks to Pinepig for shooting the paint/clear!

2002 with it's empty bay and wiring mess....

                rear view

Need a few more cans of SEM to strip the old paint, waiting for some parts from blunt to mount them and they'll be on.
