        Update!

I have now done 5000km with the new engine and I must say it is pretty fantastic. 1.st of July I became a man, I finally lapped the Nürburgring!!!

Have not figured out the hasitation on 1.st gear yet....well, have not though that much about it ether.

Have mounted poly bushing in the rear end, new EBC Red Stuff pads at front, tidy up the engine bay, polished the whole car, washed the interior and won two 1.st place on scandinavia's biggest car meet.

Here are some pictures and films :)

Looks SICK! Nice work, that realy is a car to be proud of! But can you please rub back the embossed lettering on the valve cover already!! It will look 100000x better!! Otherwise every aspect of that engine bay looks perfect!

Thanks mates :) Letters will remain painted. Most of them have them clear, so I will have them painted. ooooooorrrr, maybe I will remove and polish them to high gloss like the strut bar.

Hey, awesome transplant. I always wondered what else (besides cutting and trimming if necessary) is needed to perform a swap of such caliber? Are the electrical connectors and every other electrical item interchangeable? I have never researched this subject fully, but I figured it won't hurt to ask. Is it possible to retain the A/C? Allthough I am sure it is. How involved is a swap?

Lemme say this about that: pick a "theme" and do it. If you did the outline of the lettering on the valve cover to match your bad-ass door handles and maybe find something else to do the same style lettering on, that would kick ass...or re-do your door handles to match the VC.

This is NOT my opinion, Sir, this is fact. You will get laid more too, not like that isn't one of the best waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles magnets ever seen, but details do count...

                    Gorgeous car, simply gorgeous.

BTW: what color is that again?

WOA, long time no see! There has not been any changes since last time I think. Have spun out the rear tires, won another trophy and is going to be featured in Performance BMW december issue I think!

Have been to a car show and track, so spitting out some pictures and videos for you guys to enjoy! The season is almost over for this year now, and the car will be parked in the garage on jack stands for the winter.

                      Ford track day!

Nice work ... love how its all turned out! :) Have you come across any niggles while driving it ?

The only ones fro mine is I really need to go for a 2 stage temp switch for my radiator fan .. the single is a bit latent.
That and I have some minor exhaust work to do to center the back box a little better.

Nothing but the cheating at WOT when warm... I use the E36M3 3.0l single temp switch for the radiator fan.
When driving my water temp is on the line between cold and straight up, my fan starts when the gauge needle is straight up. Have not have any problems with the cooling, even after hitting traffic in Germany after many hours on the Autobahn when it was 30-35 degree celcius.

And when I tracked it on the Ford meet I noticed that I got high oil temp, so I drove off the track and over to the HP washer. Started watering the oil cooler when engine was running but it did still not sink. So I put my hand on the oil cooler and noticed it was cold. So my thermostat for the oil cooler in the filter console is probably not working. So I have to source a new console before the next season.

Also considering taking the engine out for a inspection of the clutch and the modified parts. Also to check if the engine has been rubbing some place that I have not been aware of.

The Golf MK1 brake booster is too hard pedal for DD, works well on the track though. So I have sourced a servo hydraulic E28 brake booster that I'm going to use, I will probably also build E36M3 3.2l front suspension.

How is your car working? Saw a very wet vid of some women driving your car:giggle:

interesting ... We are just about to come into summer here with 25-32 degree c heat .. however on the odd warm 18-22 day we had here recently it was fine.

I still need to replace the switch tho .. its just wrong for application.

ahh yeap, I fine it perfect for my brakes (332mm fr 315mm rr) however I can see how some guys want more from it .. going hydrylic will defanitely give you that.

I drove a e48 m3 CSL recently with big Alcons and that thing was sooo touchy on the brakes at low speed. Almost too much

Cars going great, its very quick .. I had a race with a aston v8 vantage the other day .. owned that.

Here is a vid of a GoPro camera mounted on a Audi B5 RS4 and I have no problems pulling away from him on the straights (about half way through in the vid once warmed up) It was very wet that day and was my first time out on the track with the car so I was taking it easy at first. RS4 is better with AWD in the wet corners.
my car is the one pulling in front of him at the very start.

I have since installed a surge tank and secondary accumulator to counter fuel starvation in the long sweeping corners which ill post some picks of in my other thread later today. Its a must for a pre-facelift tank.
