Load leveler came in handy for me. I put the engine in with the trans attatched in my driveway so it was helpful. I gotta be honest man....that paint looks like dookie. Watch some videos of swap cars, look at pictures, post in other peoples threads. I kept running into the same wall of demotivation because I was working alone. You just have to keep talking youself into it. The harness looks good btw. I can't wait to see this thing done.Leave a comment:

I wouldn't worry about scratching that engine bay by not using a leveler, in fact, it just might make it look better.Leave a comment:

load leveler is not a waste, especially when doing a swap by yourself. i got mine no less than two months ago and it has 4 swaps on it (8 in and outs).Leave a comment:

Come on Matt u can do it ..Just have faith in yourself. i been doing most of my whole build without help. And i am proud of what i have done by myself. I give a lot of credit to eric and mike for the knowledge and pushing me to do it myself.
I have faith in u. Just take it slow. Dont be in a rush. lol Slow and easy wins the race. :)Leave a comment:

Why waste money on a load leveler? I presume (hope) its just going to be used once then sold for soda in a years time.Leave a comment:

What he said, How can you say no to your hobby:)What I see here are not reasons. I see a bunch of excuses and whining. When my first attempt at smoothing my bay and covering up the repairs when to shit, I wrecked it all back down and did it again. When that first paint job in my engine bay went to shit, I stripped it all back out, and did it again. I used bedliner because I knew it would be tough, look good, and had a very low likelyhood of repeating the initial prolems.
No one there to help you? Then man up and take care of shit yourself. I'm really not trying to be an asshole here man, but one of the things you have to learn in this life is that friends are great, help is awesome, but the only person you can count on 100% of the time is yourself. Stop spending money on parts and other shit, and go buy yourself a heater. Then when you have a place you can work properly, get back to it and get it done right.

I highly recommend this leveler:

Picked one up a few weeks ago and it works great. Don't bother with their cheaper one. That thing is a POS. Bought it first and returned it after using it for 10 min.Leave a comment:

I'm with everyone else on this. Masking tape doesn't cost more than a few bucks. Grab 2 rolls and some newspaper, do it right.Leave a comment:
