And with many anoying problems out of the way, I took it for its first spin around the block tonight without the hood. Looks like it needs all new sensors though because the high temps in the parts washer probly killed them.

Haha, well I most likely already have my hands on some off the m20 or s38 in the corner at my brothers house. All the part numbers line up between all engines. Hows your turbo manifold though :P

Probably not at the moment, Looking at just getting it running now. Degreased it all this morning to check where it was leaking oil from, Filter housing, thought sweet easy fix.

Drove it into the shed & parked it up, look under. Steady stream of oil coming from the bellhousing now, so i'm guessing it blew the rear engine seal or the sump. :(

bummer man. I'm just going out to work on fitting up my new fuel lines and surge tank setup :)

Atleast the lil M42's are easy to get in and out

Yeah hopefully it doesn't have to come out, my brother seems to think that the acid bath may of eaten up one of the oil gallery plugs on the back of the block & could of blown it out. He had a similar problem with his m20 block when he first rebuilt it. So sometime this week I'll drop the gearbox most likely and see if we can find what the problem is.

At least after driving it for about 1km im fully motivated because it was all worth it :P

Okay so I haven't really updated this lately. We sorted out sensors & a few oil leaks & such, Got the car all back on the road running. So far it's done about 500km's on the new engine with No problems :) Still has 2 small oil leaks that are getting fixed when we drain it to do its first service at 1000km's.

Heres a pic of it out at a meet I went to a couple of weeks back.

First thing I can say though is, driving a Decompressed M42 to run it in before turbo'ing it is a real big let down :P It has power down low still but nothing at all at about 90kmph+. Its getting turbo stuff done very quickly over the last couple of weeks though & should be back off the road & getting turbo & dyno done by the time I'm at about 1500-2000Km.

So a couple afternoons this week after work I've just been messing around with a few things on how to mount up intercooler & radiators ect. I ended up going for a box that can house the cooler, radiator & thermo fan all in one for easy fitment & removal.

Here's a pic of it half finished before welding ect. I also did all the polishing of it myself at work.

I didn't take too many pics of it, but here is a pic of it with just the cooler in it sitting in the car with a clamp holding it in place after I got it all welded up :) The pic definently tricks the eyes & makes it look like the cooler is the thickness of the whole box.

I'll fit the radiator tomorrow & also mount it up properly. Then It'll be back out & polish it some more & run standard setup till its completely run in.

if she goes for that, astroglide up your pole, have her lay on her stomach and slip it in slowly and bury it to your balls and leave it there until she relaxes. once she is used to it slam that ass like a screen door.

Still need to get the rad in there tomorrow & then look at mounting a thermo fan & get a custom fan shroud made most likely. Sadly I don't think my 16 inch davies craig fan will fit in there :( Most likely have to go a skinnier one.

The advantage of this setup is there's no cutting of the car or bodywork at all to make intercooler fit ect. Which is something I definitely didn't want to do!
