I'm in the same scenario; I have the reliable E30 and then just picked up an E36M3 for something different.

I've owned the M3 for over a month and have yet to drive it more than 15 miles. E36M3 POs suck. I pulled 40ft of underglow wiring out of the car, a shitty radar detector, and have been tracking down an idle problem forever.

G/L with the overheating thing. My money is on water pump. Try giving the fan blade a wiggle from front to back. Play means that it's no good.

Haha good to know I am not the only one. I drove this thing about a thousand miles, but over the last 2 weeks I havent even driven it ten miles. I still havent made the first payment! This is gonna be a long road.

Yeah, the thermostat and fan clutch were replaced about 500 miles ago with new OEM parts. So I know those arent it. The car was making a squeaking noise on startup and til it was at operating temperature. I am guessing it was the water pump.

Its only 60 dollars at autozone, and its only gonna take a few hours to do, so I am not too pissed, but I drove like 300 miles this weekend, and it would have been a million times better to have ac, bass with my music, and no drove from the exhaust of the E30.

Fuck it. Maybe its a sign. I shouldnt have betrayed the E30. I will take all the punishment the E30 gods will send crushing down on me.

No one wanted my very good condition sterling silver hood for only 20 dollars?

I am gonna give paint pens a try. I already have a good idea in my head, and my E30's current hood is shit anyways, so might as well replace it with something artsy.

I am digging the 2.93 lsd in the E30. 80 mph is like 3k. So beautiful and smooth.

I FINALLY got my housing back! Now I have to take it into a few local places to see what they can do about putting my E30 into the high horsepower range.

On another note, 16x 9.5, et 35 on all four corners? I know the style 5's are very nice, but a little 3 piece action doesnt seem like a bad idea to me. Lemme know what you think.

Dreading/Excited to see how the hood turns out. About 15% done right now.
