I sometimes staple screen to the framing at the top of the door and drape it outside the top, while open, to keep bugs out while painting (run a bug zapper the night before). Bugs aren't too bad here yet so I didn't. We only had 1 gnat which was picked out in first layer of basecoat.
I've also painted hundreds of cars/parts in the past when I worked for a Mercedes dealership, and since then.
Also make sure you and otheres are not in/out of the house while doing it if you have animals. My brother came out after basecoat and brought a dozen dog hairs that came off his clothing and landed on the car (basecoat was on for 5-10 min so they didn't stick, had to blow off). Wear a paint suit ($6) and a respirator ($20-$30).
Alright. My other plan was to make a paint booth in my driveway out of PVC or 2x4's and drape some like 5mil plastic over it an. Get a couple fans for venting. I read somewhere there's this cleaner you can put on your car if your painting outside with out a booth and I will keep things like dog hair and stuff from sticking to the car. I can't decide if I want ppg paint or DuPont how much did you pay for all your paint and primer? The DuPont pain I'm looking at is around 700 a gallon.

I may try this cause the results look great. There's so many different techniques for painting.
