nothing at all. basicly slot the holes about 3/4 of an inch. Dont forget the big hole too.
Slide it over as far as you can and once you put the motor in you can adjust it back over to where you need it to be.
The pedal bracket is thick ehough that you dont have anything to worry about. Ran 2 of my own swaps and 3 swaps I have done for others the same way.Comment

Josh, did you hear how much faster S50s are? They are hardly any more money either. You should get one of those instead.Comment

* Please read before proceeding. I am not interested in your arguments/theories/reasons why I should have "spent a little bit more and gotten an M52/S50/S52. These options were not available at the time when I had the money to spend on an engine, for the money I had put aside for it, etc. I may turbo this engine down the road, I may supercharge it, I may leave it NA and do something else with it. If you got an S50 or something else, and it's faster, that's awesome for you. I'm perfectly happy with what I got, and having driven a handful of swapped NV M50 E30s, I'm going to have plenty of fun with this one. And keep in mind, this is a swap from an ETA. *

Yah. Andy is probably going to come over sometime this week and tack weld all the little holes where I broke spot welds out, and then I'm going to give the bay a deep-clean and spray some primer on it. In the meantime, I'm going to continue pulling the motor apart and cleaning it.Comment
