Well, I made my own spacers.. It was kinda a PITA, but for $19, I'd rather go with their spacers. I'm taking mine out eventually and putting their's in (mine deformed a tad). I've never done the swap on non-airbag cars, so I'm not sure about spacing the front sub frame on early models, but I think that's the same deal.

The issue is the steering column on airbag cars. You have to cut the hole in the firewall slightly bigger (just a few MM). The advantage is you don't have to change out the steering knuckle or space it out (longer). That part is WAY easier on the airbag cars.

And yeah, my car has the dual pumps, so I think I probably have to keep that filter where it is.
Get an IX window washer!! That's what I did and love it. You can use the 318IS firewall/ harness cover thing and it works perfectly!! It stops right where the window cleaner container starts. It looks perfectly factory (cause it is) and clean!! Plus, you can still clean your windshield.

Very exciting build! I hope I can swap my eta one day too!

I wish we could have met eachother this summer at teh picnic... But it will have to wait until the next meet. I'll look you up if I'm ever in Bend. :)

So you're going to spend unnecessary money on a booster, good to hear. :)

Does not matter, his motor is only 2.5L.

He might as well not even drive it.

              Closing SOON!

Hey, Old Man Winter. Zip it, or I'll break your hip.

Derrty, that looks pretty good. I'm mainly just shaving everything that sticks up/out and smoothing it, I'm not going with a full shave. I'm not going to be filling all of the holes, and making every surface flat, but I will be smoothing everything I remove, and repainting most of the bay.

Dillsnick, good tip on the iX washer, I might look into that. My washer jets have never actually worked, and in the almost 5 years I've had the car, never used them. My car also hasn't been a daily for about 3 years, and doesn't really see any kind of inclement weather but rain. I'm actually probably going to shave the jets in the hood when I get it repainted.

I should be able to make those spacers for the steering knuckle easy enough. The only thing I need is how long they are, but we can either measure it or maybe someone else has the measurement?

Meh, no thanks. Never used it before, and I really don't want anything there. That whole side of my engine bay is now going to be totally empty.

Motivation? I will help you out brotha.

I did the same as you, just removed unwanted and used brackets. Tucked a little wiring down the frame rail and tossed some paint on it. So simple but yet so clean.

Exactly the look I'm after, thanks for the pics! BTW, what booster are YOU using?

Made a little progress, got the grinder/sanding wheel out and smoothed down the parts I cut off. Gonna have to do a little filler here and there, but no big deal.
