What paint did you use? Mine used to look all shiny. Now it's all chipped off and crappy looking :(

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

He gets it, keep the bickering out of my thread.

Getting the block painted was a critical step, all that's left now is to finish cleaning what was pulled off, such as the oil filter housing, alternator, power steering pump, etc. Then I can order my top and bottom end gasket kits, and start reassembling everything. After that, I need to clean/reseal my transmission, order a clutch, headers, and a few other small bits, and it will be ready to go back in!

Blue one on the left is for the ecu, the black one is for the gauge cluster. Or so i heard.

How did you get all your exhaust studs out? some of mine stayed in, just double up on nuts and remove it the hard way?

Don't have my M20 anymore, but I'm sure I can find one, I'll have to go check the U-Pull-It, and see if they got any new E30's out there yet.

With a M50 you shouldn't have to drill or tap anything.

Made a lot of progress cleaning today, cleaned the entire oil filter housing and master bracket that holds it, the alternator and the power steering pump. Brushed and polished the outside of the oil filter housing, as well as the outer case of the alternator and painted part of it.

Also put primer on the valve cover and the oil filter cover, hoping to clean up the power steering pump tomorrow.

Haven't polished the parts that I brushed yet, but they will look about like the oil filter housing.
