Engine probably won't be installed until the first week or so of next month, gotta wait until I have some more car-money freed up. Stupid paying bills and other stuff first. :D

E36 steering rack now fully installed, Andrew machined a pair of aluminum subframe spacers for me, and I got everything bolted up today. Got the wrong tension straps for the inner lip of the boots, but those are no big deal.

Are you going with or without PS? Progress looks good. I think my top-secret project will be done about the same time as yours.

With, no real reason to get rid of it.

I was just making sure you weren't planning on running without PS and using whatever is plugging the holes currently. That would end badly.

Hahahahah! No.... those were just put in there by the seller when I bought it from him to keep it from leaking all over. Good lookin out, tho.

Hard to say. I'm not really sure where the original hp gets "lost" to begin with. I would love to get it on a dyno once I get the MarkD chip in it, and everything is up and running properly, see what I'm actually putting down at the wheels.
what are your plans other than the markd?
does miller offer anything for the m50?

Not much for now, I'm kicking around the idea of supercharging it in the future. We'll see what happens down the road.

Right now, it will be getting used to the new powerplant, going to be a very different car than I've been used to for so long.

I tell ya what. Ive never been in a M50 NV swapped e30 till I took my buddy dans for a whip. That thing is nasty, I actually think it felt faster than a M52 swap.
Anyways Josh, sent you a PM. ;)

I've only driven one NV M50 car, it was Tony's up here in Portland, and I thought it was fast as hell.

Compared to your ETA it will be fast as hell.

Good luck with finishing up your swap.

Did you use e30 inner and outer tie rods or did you use the e36 ones? Sorry if you mentioned it before but Im just curious.
