Pretty sure Josh plans on running SOME kind of cover, just not the necessarily the stock one. I don't think he's decided what he wants to do.
Ding ding ding! My nozzles are shot, but apparently this is not that uncommon of an issue. I'm curious as to what route he takes for his...

You can spray it on a light bulb and in the socket and drop the whole thing in water and nothing will happen to it. Its some cool shit.
It's probably just spray on dielectric grease. You know, the stuff you are SUPPOSED to put on your spark plug boots.

        lawl.

Andrew and I just got done resealing and checking all tolerances on my new 3.73 LSD. Everything inside looks perfect, very little to no wear on anything, and all of the tolerances were well within spec. Replaced all the seals and gaskets and closed it back up, just need to put it back in now and fill it up.

What was your pinion depth? I'm curious.

          Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

            Fill first, then reinstall.

Excellent! I'll wait for you to drive the car first, but I have a back up here just in case that one wasn't good.

Nope, everything inside looked perfect, I can't forsee any issues. I did just spend almost 45 minutes trying to get the stripped fill plug out, but I got it. My neck is KILLING me (diff was in the car), but I got the fucker. Just need to order a new one now.

But that being said, diff is in the car, axles are bolted back up with all new hardware, and that completes the whole rear end. Just need to bolt up the driveshaft and the exhaust heat shields, and the car can come back down off the jackstands onto the wheels and tires again.

At this point, all that remains is I need to order my SPAL fan, and a new Magnaflow cat with a few small sections of exhaust made, and this swap should be running/driving.

That, and I didn't ever plan on using the stock engine fan, they are big, ugly and inefficient.

Lol, I don't picture Josh giving two fucks about mayhem's swap.

Good for him. It would have been running a week ago if he'd paid attention when he put his crank trigger gear back on.

Lots of progress today. I filled my diff with RedLine, cut to length and installed my power steering hoses and reservoir, hooked up my throttle cable, redid my firewall wiring and installed my new M3 covers, and installed the intake boot/mocked up where my intake will go. Productive day, I'd say. I want to fire this thing SO BAD.
