    :O

I'm inspired. Keep up the good work. Wish you were closer... I'd love to learn how to fiberglass and weld!

And probably pay for services, too.

    Not those kinds of services.

Raised up the exhaust more today. 3" exhaust on a low car = not fun.

            Using a canon rebel ;)

Finally got the cabin led's in the mail. I was a little worried they would be damaged when they showed up...they were packaged in an envelope with no padding.

After installing the first one, I was very impressed.

Then came the 2nd one. It didn't want to work...one of the ends came loose and the solder detached. So I got out this thing

            And soldered it back together

Done! Still learning how to do those cool night shots...this is my first attempt ;)

The leds are pretty bright. I like the look a bright white lot more then the stock warm white (yellow)

Center caps were a complete fail. Going to try again tomorrow maybe. Not sure if I'm up for it yet.

Wheels and tires are 16x9 205/40

                          Thanks everyone ! ;)

I have yet to mount my gauges. I have the oil pressure and wideband just sitting in front of the shiftboot where the coin tray used to be...and the boost gauge where the 13 button OBC mounts. I decided I wanted a cleaner look so I started on it today.

Template #1 (all of these templates are laser cut and scissored paper)

                            #2

                            #3 in position

                            How the gauges will look

I am hoping to finish tomorrow. The final piece will be ABS plastic with a very similar texture to the dash.

Did some more on the gauge mounts today. Didn't finish it however. I made an aluminum tray for fun. I wanted to get the angles and what not correct so when I bend the ABS I will know what angle to bend it to.

                              Bender

                              Bent:

                              Test fitted

Figured out how to bend ABS with a straight bend

Laser cut with some bends in it....Fits very nicely. The reason I went with ABS is because the texture that is on the sheet is very similar to the surrounding dash/center console. Also, I can laser cut it very easily so if I ever want to add an extra gauge it will be very simple ;) The white stuff is residue from something, it wipes right off!

It uses the stock mounting points that the original coin tray uses. I will try and get some finished pics tomorrow!
