I am from SB. Let me know if you ever need a hand. My build is taking forever, but one day we will have to take a cruise in our e30's.

Took out the ac compressor/lines today

Also, got the oil pan out. That was a b*tch

I took out the motor mount bolts and jacked the engine up from the tranny. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to clear the oil sump, so out the oil sump came.

I also broke the oil filter housing. It cracked, so I got a new one from the junkyard and a new rubber ring thingy.

Scraped off gasket on the block:

            Oil pan is cleaned (sorta)

Drilled for the oil drain fitting

Got the drain fitting in, oil pan back in with a new gasket, oil sump in (that was a b*tch)

              Got some help ;)

              She <3's getting dirty

I'm getting my oil feed from the stock oil pressure switch location

              Switch out

Awhile back I read that some people had a lot of trouble getting this bolt off. They had to grind down a deep socket and use extensions, etc. Here's what I did:

              15/16" wrench

              Worked like a charm.

Here's the new fitting for the drain. It's a -4an fitting for the steel braided oil feed line.

Got all of the oil pan bolts in along with a new gasket. Also got the tranny shield back on. You can see the oil drain fitting in the pan.

                        Clean skidplate

                        Turbo fitted

                        Oil drain

                        Oil feed

                        Started on downpipe//exhaust

Thinking about doing a 90* right here to get to the rest of the exhaust. That's where my exhaust clamp will be (right after the 90*)

                            Exhaust time :)

The setup I bought came with a 2.5" downpipe. I didn't want to make a new one. Fitment is tight and time is limited. So I bought a 2.5" to 3" adapter. It's a full 3" system besides the DP. It will work for my power goals.

                            All tacked:

                            Fitting:

Tomorrow I will finish the welding, and hopefully get some mounting brackets on there.

only thing i would've done different is moved that resonator down more towards the muffler and added a cat. looks like a pretty decent setup.

I woulda had some clearance issues if I moved the resonator up. I was thinking about that as well.

                                Thanks!
