sweet..im wondering tho..did u fabricate that piece the back of the intake manifold for the vacuum hoses yourself?...what did u do about the oil cooler? and last what did you do to your AFM. ive heard there is a trick that u can do to even a stock motor with the AFM for added power. is that what was giving you idle problems in the end or it eventually just started right up.

Im going to be building my turbo this winter so im reading up on alll the turbos i can. nice job tho. wheres the donuts/tires screaming clip?
m20 is plenty. im simply a drifter.

The intake boot, correct? What I did for that was: take stock boot off. cover in zip ties. wrap in duct tape. apply heat wrap (aesthetic). The oil cooler is no longer there. The manifold didn't allow me to keep it. AFM wheel: you should (read as: must) have a wideband to adjust this. I don't see how adjusting that wheel will give you any more power, it just makes the idle smoother with bigger injectors. The reason it didn't start up still confuses me. I'm not sure why. I think all the lines/rail were out of gas and they all needed to get primed back up. But it starts and idles fine now.

Good luck. Do more research then you think you need to. Don't start buying shit till you know what every single part of a turbo setup does and how it works.

Hehe, there's a possibility ;) I have an oil leak that pisses me off, whatever. It's only a few drops every now and then. I think it's coming from the filter housing. Grr.

Got my AFR's all dialed in, RRFPR installed with some new fuel lines, and other misc stuff. I still need to make a gauge pod thing. Right now the wideband and oil pressure gauges are just sitting in the center console where the coin tray used to be. The boost gauge is resting where the OBC used to be (wedged in)

Naw i was talking about a pic on page 16.lol i can figure out my intake boot. But its the little triangular piece thats right above the valve cover. ya know where the intake manifold and and valve cover are bolted holding up the intake manifold. its all new and shiny in one pic and u have 2 more vacuum hoses coming out of it. it looks really clean.
I saw in another build someone just split the main hose and put in T fittings to fit the rest of the extra vacuum lines for turbo.

So u can safely rock no oil cooler at all huh? is that safe for performance runs tho where temps creep up? cause once i put my intercooler in im not sure about the cooler. or does everyone delete it when turboing. im pretty sure ive seen a few actually UPGRADE the cooler.

And i hear ya on the reading as much info as possible! building a turbo on 209K miles makes me a little nervous. I dont want to blow the motor and get laughed at.lol I have time before i do my turbo..maybe a year from now but im really aiming for about 6months from now.
Great work. whens the dounuts clip comin out?lol
