As long as it's not sticking out (protruding) then I'd say you are fine to run it.

You have to spray them with brake clean to get the chemical coating off of them anyway before running them, so it's fine if you touch them.

All of that will come off with a good high speed stomp.

Talk to John or James about bedding the new pads properly too.

I have read up lots on bedding pads. I have heard that bedding in OEM pads is not such a good idea.

Akebonos is mixed opinions on bedding

You should have gotten some caliper rebuild kits too while your doing the brakes. They arent much $$ and are easy to do. Just fyi

Well I looked into them, and it looked like they would be $80 for all 4, I cant afford that

Word. I would do this actually. They're really cheap.

Are your fronts Ate or Girling?

They're not that much. Maybe if you have Ate fronts and do the guide bushings also.

Where'd you get those numbers? I just looked into it and found a front set for 7 bucks, rear set for 7 bucks. So 14 dollars for the seals....

What, I am mistaken then. Ill order them I guess.

My car is late model so isnt that Girling?

Blunt shows this for front - http://www.blunttech.com/ShopByVehic...0Front&mode=PA

                          And rear - http://www.blunttech.com/ShopByVehic...20Rear&mode=PA

And it said two per car, but I guess that is wrong

And for the edited part of your post:
Go to autohausAZ.com, they are 7 bucks there.

SO it is more than $14...

                              8.25 per side for rears.

$12 or so per side for fronts.

                              Ugh

Okay, just saw your edit, will do.

Why does Pelican and Blunt say two per car, but the picture both shows two sets of the boot and seal???

                                Whats the deal
