Quickest update ever :) just got a call from the exhaust shop, the exhaust is finished and the car is ready to be picked up. So here comes a big weekend of car related work. Over the past few weeks heaps of parts have been rocking up. Here are a few some picks, be prepared for a huuuuuggggeee update on Sunday night when the weekend is over :D
M3 fiberglass front bar, saves about 15kg from the front of the car. I am modifying it to look more like an IS front bar :)

Picked up some hose for the intake

Anyone like shinny stuff???

A few hose clamps and bolts

Lots of other little bits and pieces

nice. I just went through a whole re-design on my fuel system. Decided against a fuel cell purely because of cost. Did you pick yours up local or in America? I'm building a big surge so that if I ever go dual pumps I think I would have enough head room :pComment

It was actually quite cheap, around $250 for the tank and swirl pot from Rocket Industries somewhere in NSW. I would definitely think about it as the tank ways 5kg if that, how much does the standard one weight? ;)Comment

Bit of an update. Got my front bar and airbox back from the shop today. I'm very happy with the quality of the work! Now the airbox clears the master cylinder so I can get some brakes :) Anyone who is interested in the front bar check out my topic as I am selling them in carbon and fiberglass :)

Wow! Just realized I have kind of neglected this thread. Heaps has been happening to the car. I have now booked it in to get turned at Motec :) but we will rewind a bit first.
After the last update I got the car back from the exhaust shop and the headers went off to get ceramic coated. They came back a week or so later so on they went along with the 3 inch main system. Very high quality exhaust so I super happy with that.
Next on the list to tick off was the cooling system. I mounted the radiator pretty easily as well as the expansion tank and all the hoses. The only tricky part was at the back of the head where instead of going to the heater I re-routed the pipes to go straight back to the expansion tank. This remove the need to have 2 pipes going from front to back on top of the exhaust. I also scored some genuine blue BMW coolant so in that went.
Also got the front bar and grills on. Nothing special here just a bit of black spray paint and away I went. Looks good from a distance ;) Now the front bar comes off in about 10 seconds and is only held on by 2 screws on the side. If you are interested in one send me a PM.
I finally sorted out my brake set-up. Ever since I first put the motor in I was going to be a problem. Fortunately I found a remote reservoir kit for a e30, so I used that. It was actually very pain free and if you see the reservoir you will notice there is a 3rd dick for the clutch which I will do later on as I already mounted my clutch reservoir.
I also decided to get rid of my R888 and use a smaller, more durable tire. As this will be an everyday car for a month or so I decided to get some 205/50 R15 KU36s. These are a bit small which means I don't have to do much body work to get them to fit. I think they look quite good!
Did a whole heap of little things as well, finished the fuel system, re-installed the interior, mounted accelerator cable, etc. Also scored a genuine KPH M3 instrument cluster :) my front bar is getting painted on Sunday and hopefully I will pick up a black bonnet on the weekend so it should look good very soon.
I will update this when I do some more work!
