      Thanks for the encouragement!

Here are some pics from this weekend. Switching to the euro bumpers in the rear took a bit of fit up and a couple trips to the hardware store for the right screws, nut, bolts, etc. Also, since they are nearly 30 years old there was some surface rust on the backsides. I hit the with rust Eastwood rust encapsulator and some rubberized undercoat before reassembling. I had some OE fitted mudflaps that I had been hoarding, come to find out they were for late models, so I need to track the right set down. Here is end of day Saturday:

Here is end of day Sunday:

Something interesting I found with cleaning up the front bumpers. They came from a federalized car and someone installed provisions for the parking light in the signal housing:

I'm going to return the signals to stock and use the city light as my parking light, but I had not seen anything like that on here so I figured I'd show and tell.

I'm going to try to get the trunk lid spoiler, emblems, trunk interior and side trim squared away this week so pics should keep coming.

i'm very jealous of your euro bumpers. I wish i could find a nice set, all the ones i've seen are too rusty.

It was a right place / right time thing, I wasn't looking for them per se. They still were expensive and buying was a hellish process but it is just a totally different looking car with them so it was worth it if you come across them. Now if i could only find a set of style 10's and a mtech kit....

Thanks! Much better than the water & sun damaged ones that were in it. I can't believe how long this whole project has been dragging on but how good it coming out. It's in the 13th month of a "cheap-o daily driver" that just needed a weekend of work. Bolting on the shiny bits is the fun part so there is light at the end of the tunnel.

You are doing exactly what I wish I can be doing to my car. All work done by yourself and whatnot. I would love to get some tips and tricks on what I would need to paint my car the way you did.

BTW what dye did you use for the interior.
                      SO MUCH MORE TO DO!!

                        Thanks!

I worry about getting a set that has issues but I am keeping my eye out for any that pop up around here. I may be tempted to get a set of newer oe seats or new aftermarket seats. There really isn't a good and affordable option for front seats.

PM me if you need any detail on the painting process. I used Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric Paint for all the interior stuff. Really great stuff, easy to do.

The rear is done, all trim installed and trunk interior dyed black and reinstalled. Going to flip the car around tonight and start on the front. I have some, engine bay painting, fitup and wiring to do so progress there may be a little slower. Last rear end pics:

OK, I kinda want to put on an old school pinstripe in silver on the car. I normally hate those, but in this case I think it would look good. Everyone thinks I'm nuts but I know i have seen a black car here somewhere with euro bumpers and a red stripe and it looks fantastic.
