    OK, need some slight spark plug reading advice.

    I drove around all day yesterday at 11psi and 21 degrees advance by 6k. car ran excellent and had no detonation at all. Made it to 295whp on my accelerometer at only 10psi.

    I did a 3rd gear WOT spark plug pull pulled the plug around 5.5krpm and my plugs timing mark/color change to black was pretty close to the end of the ground strap, but right at the apex of the strap was a small purple mark. I retarded my ignitonn 1 degree just to be safe but I'm wondering how my plug should be read now that I have methanol in the system, was my timing OK? does the purple/blue mark just indicate proper timing.

      and here are my current fuel and ign. maps, they are very safe on meth. AFR was just under 12.0 @10psi before meth now its a bit richer but close to 12psi.

        Yay made this weeks goal of 300whp. I did 317WHP at 12 psi:) It pulls Gooood,
        but I realized that alcohol injection is not allowed in the SCCA so I called up a member and I may be able to get away with windshield washer fluid.

            Wow, awesome e30, seems wicked fast. Question...your using the miller maf/war chip set up correct? And the Innovate wideband? Are you using it for narrow band as well? Or do you have 2 o2's? 1 for narrowband 1 for wide?

              Yup to everything, but no O2 sensor just the wideband, no narrow band, you dont need the 02 on with the WAR chip.



              and the E30 let me down at today's auto-x:( blew up a rubber coupler and then blew off my Meth system bung.

                  car should be running again by tomorrow with a 3.73LSD.
                  plan to install my head studs this coming week, then some 42lb injectors and a bit more boost.

                  after that I should be satisfied with the car and will start some carbon fiber fabrication. I want to start small and then make things like a CF valve cover, trunk etc.

                            well, I think I found most of the leak. I replaced all the vacuum line I had with silicone vac/boost/ line just in case one had a tear in it. I discovered my catch can had a small leak at the sight tube, so I deleted the sight tube and plugged the holes. car still had a miss at idle, but would only go to about 17AFR now. I decided to remove and reassemble my BOV and when I opened it I found that the diaphragm seems to be pinched slightly crooked at its mounting surface. I lubed it up and put it back together and let the car warm up again and it still had a slight miss but my afr was staying right around 14AFR now which is good.. I pressure tested the BOV to about 25psi and it held great so I'm not sure what the issue is now, just a slight miss only once the car is warmed up now.

                                i couldnt richen up my m52 to save my life on the miller setup. constant issues with misfires, idle and lean issues. MegaSquirt has fixed this issue with the same identical engine,coils,injectors,o2 sensors,piping and couplings as well as fuel pump.

                                I was sure it was something i was doing. Now im sure it wasnt
