OK, need some slight spark plug reading advice.
I drove around all day yesterday at 11psi and 21 degrees advance by 6k. car ran excellent and had no detonation at all. Made it to 295whp on my accelerometer at only 10psi.
I did a 3rd gear WOT spark plug pull pulled the plug around 5.5krpm and my plugs timing mark/color change to black was pretty close to the end of the ground strap, but right at the apex of the strap was a small purple mark. I retarded my ignitonn 1 degree just to be safe but I'm wondering how my plug should be read now that I have methanol in the system, was my timing OK? does the purple/blue mark just indicate proper timing.
