Are you going with fixed back seats and 5/6 point harnesses?

Also for your needs a full cage seems a little overkill. Why not a roll bar with fixed back seats and harnesses?
I'm gonna agree 100% here. If you're gonna run a roll cage, and you like your skull not cracked, you better be planning on wearing a helmet every time your'e in the car (passengers too).

On the street no roll cage + no helmet is much safer than roll cage + helmet.

Also, not sure of Maryland's laws, but a cage in a street car may be illegal as well...

Ok, Got my dash finished up. Not bad for $1, and I'll be flocking and buying a real hvac delete panel later on.

Got my bay shaved, and painted. Not perfect, but its tough and looks better than the pink that the red had faded to:

And started cutting and welding the oil pan to fit over the steering rack:

And just a small stockpile of my rebuild parts :D

And Matt from e30v8 is currently sending me new mounts since the first set was incorrect. Very impressed with the quick response and helpfulness of this guy.

I thought you mentioned a new oil pan from summit...? Is that the one that came with the motor?

No, thats the new one from summit. You have to buy a front sump oil pan and oil pickup, then cut it a tad bit to clear the subframe.

Just picked up a bell housing, clutch fork and starter, I can finally put the engine in next week!

this is an awful idea and poor logic on top of it.

I know a few people who snort cocaine, must not have got the memo about legalization.

Terrible, yes I will admit. Hasty generalization to be exact ;) My point was, they've been pulled over before will no trouble, and I have not seen anything in MD's law book about them. Regardless, a cage is going in :)
