haha it'll be a few days before I can go back up to my dad's again to work on the car. I'll definitely do some mock-ups next time I go up though!

Got some work done today. Started prepping the door jamb so I took everything down to clean bare metal:

Got everything clean and then laid down some primer. I also messed around with the fitment on the BBS' I just bought. This is the 15x8.5 in the rear with a 20mm spacer, which I will actually be moving up front and running a 15x9 in the rear once I get bigger lips. I could totally fit a 15x9.5 back there, but don't want to stretch a 195/45 that much. I'll be fine with a 15x9 and probably a 20mm spacer when all is said and done:

Did you ever put it on the ground with the steelies on it? Thinking about running these in 15x8 on my 74.

              Also, hi. first post.

Why are you running such narrow tires on 9 inch rims? Why not lose the spacer and run 225 which is still undersized for a 9?

                The wheels look great.

I'd like the use the tires I already have since they are like new, also I can't seem to find a wider 15" tire which would have the same diameter as the 194/45 up front. If I could find a 215/40/15 I'd make the rears 15x9.5 but I can't find anything. I could run a 205/50/15 but it would just look goofy in comparison

The lips are spoken for as of right now. If that sale falls through I will let you know.

Goddamn. Such a cool build. My RM's get here tomorrow and I'm so stoked. Difference is I will be building mine, they are nowhere near as clean as the ones you bought! But with a couple weeks and some $$$ they'll be perfect.

Also, put me in line for the 2 inch lips if they don't sell to whomever has spoken for them. I'm paypal ready :)

                            Keep it up pimpin

Cool man! I got lucky finding a great deal on a set that was already built with nice tires. It seemed like a lot up front, but if I break everything down I ended up getting them for a really good price so I'm really pumped. Good luck on your wheel build! I'll keep you in mind in case the lip sales fall through

Easily my favorite build going on right now... The down-to-earth-ness, diy-ness, and attention to detail is superb!
