my CV shafts have been fine. the set I have now have 295,000+ miles on them. it was the original ones on my car that went bad, those had about 190k, just one outter joint is loose. I'm keeping them for parts. :)

What kinda price we talking? Nando do i need the GC camber plates as well in order to keep the cvs intact? or is the ride height that the modded struts give you just simply not low enough to wreck them?

no you don't need the camber plates. they just tighten up the front end significantly, although at the cost of some ride comfort. it does let you adjust the camber of course..

I'd start out with the stock bearings, you can always add camber plates later. also, the stock bearings give a little bit more travel. they are definitely more comfortable!

are you referring to the street camber plates or the hybrid camber plate when you say they are less comfortable and less travel than stock?

these are ix camber plates. the only one is made by Ground Control. :p

they are solid and the stack height is pretty good but ix strut bearings are quite a bit different which is why there is slightly less travel than stock. if you shorten the tubes/housings then you gain all of that back and more.

so its more of an iX thing then? i am looking for a street GC setup for my coupe and was wanting to maximise travel and no additional NVH and so was thinking of the street camber plate, def not looking at the "hybrid" which is solid

yes - the RWD plates by GC should have *more* travel than the stock bearings.
