I've had that intercooler on my ebay watch list for quite some time... I've read that these help with turbo spool...

these are soooo much more effecient its crazy. Corky bell in his book supercharged describes it best. Its not how long the fin tubes are its how many of them you have in total and in this setup it does the job of cooling my twincharged really well plus you need the same side in and out 2.5" tubes.

I will tell you what materials to buy...where to cut...where to weld..everything. Second thing please buy the MSII computer from our friend whodwho if you dont already have MSII and I will give you guys my twincharged tune running 60# injectors for it.

Denny, how hard would it be to put the alt where the compressor was? Just curious as this would eliminate having to deal with doing anything with the power steering.

It can be done and I believe I had tried on my first mokup design and the CPS was in the way of the belt somehow. But I have to admit I didnt put too much efford in it as I wanted to go electric PS anyways and moving the alternator to the manual PS was extremely easy making room for the nose of the supercharger.

I almost scored an M90 on ebay pretty cheap but I'm glad I didn't if the M62 is the ticket.

If I'm not mistaken the m62 is easier due to the built in bypass valve whereas the m90 doesn't have one

Depends on the displacement of your M20 ;)

The only M90 I would consider (and do have as a spare in my garage) is the M90 from the Thunderbird. Compact and powerfull but pricy I bought it for 250$ and it needs a rebuild.

A little on the big side for a 2.5L M20 I want quick reaction for low end torque and I wasnt going to use it over 10 PSI anyways so it stays efficient.

The bypass is cool but I dont use as it doesnt fit with the pressure valve and at only 10PSI I didnt see the need...I chose the M62 for fitting and the neck length was perfect.

Yes, that is true too. I'm planning on using my M90 for the M30( it will give me quick response just like the M62 on a 2.5L ) that's going in my red vert.

Isn't the bypass valve there so when your in vac it dumps excess pressure?

nope, the throttle body is before the charger ...the roots only compresses the air that I let in. The bypass valve is there on stock for extra fuel efficiency at idle and part throttle but It removes a lot of the instant ready torque. In my twincharged the BOV is placed before the throttle to release the extra boost from the turbo when I close the throttle. And I also added a BLV after the SC but thats too limit overall boost and protection.
