I liked the old thread title better. The car is looking good.

Try .15 total toe in the front.

If you go to a shop that has a Hunter Hawkeye Elite alignment system, they can use a program called Winalign Tuner to set up custom alignment specs including ride height and reduced bump steer. If they don't know how to use it, have them call their Hunter rep to come in and help out.

It looks like they used a Hoffman or John Bean system to align your car. I wouldn't align a wheelbarrow with one of those.

I just set up an '02 with an M20 for AutoX, I'll look around for the final specs on that car but I highly doubt it will work in your situation since he was still 4 lug and had a different set up. PM me if I can help.

I would start with 0 toe at the front. You could try toed out a little to help turn in at low speeds (autoX) but high speed straight line stability will suffer.

In the rear i would have some toe in, maybe 1/16th on each side for a 1/8th inch total rear toe in.

Why don't you ask in the Track and AutoX section here to see what settings others are running with success ?

I really feel the gas tank ruins the look of the outside, can it be raised up? or are you doing some sort of rear apron? Lots of work here, nice job.

Thanks! I will try toe out in the rear.

I will ask more questions in the track and auto x sections.

                Thanks!

I agree, looks out of place. I did raise it before the race, you can't even see it anymore. I am planning on keeping it raised. I'll post some update soon

If the car feels twitchy toe in will change that.

If the car over steers, toe in the rear, toe out for under steer. I had a problem handling an e36 on the track - pushing right through the corners. After I got the car apart, found the previous guy working on the rear set the rear to toe in max. Gave it a little toe out and it was a whole new car.

he said try toe IN for the rear, not OUT. i agree with his suggestion. every race car i set up ends up with about 1/16 in for the rear....including my M2.

                      Thanks for the feed back!

This project is going to be on hold for a bit. I have pending job offers hopefully (fingers crossed).

Side note I will be picking up another 2002 this weekend! its 76! 4 speed and stock m10. The problem is, it hasnt ran since 2013. My plans are making it into a clean classy daily driver. Picked it up for $800

so I am toying with the idea of updating the front suspension to a double wishbone from a miata. This basically involves removing the stock 2002 sub frame and fabricate mounting points for the new miata sub frame.
                                This will allow me better
                                -front suspension geometry
-steering rack with 2.8 lock turn
                                -light suspension
-double wishbone with top wishbone bolted to the subframe so i am able to keep the geometry.
-large aftermarket support for coil overs, bbk, suspension components
                                for example

                                side note
                                this came in

my current setup is wilwood swinging pedals and i changing over to tiltons

                                where they sit currently

                                thoughts on miata suspension?
