If it was anyone else I'd say go stick your head in the sand for a while. But, you do have a knack for pulling off the obnoxious pretty well.

However, if you do decide to go this route, I cannot emphasize enough the importance of using suspension software to calculate your points. If you do not, or are even a bit off (during one of those "eh" moments) then any gain you may have had will be thrown out the window. I know of more than one car that made magazines with "x-subframe/suspension swapped in" that weren't anything more than rolling sculptures.

You should seriously just design a tube-frame to drape the 2002 body over. Go look at the Lotus 7 build books and locostusa.com for some help and inspiration.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

If this badge is printed and mounted on your car when finished, it .... would ... be .... awesome! You then must bring it to Monterey and show it out at the Legends Concours.

I will be picking up the S2000 chassis this friday.

Currently my plan is disassemble the 2002 and sell remaining parts I don't need.

My s52 is pending a sale, if it falls through I will stick with the power plant. If not then f20c route then later turbo.

If stick with the s52, later I will go s54 depening how the s2000 chassis layout will be.

My plan push the s52 lump far back as possible (if dont sell the s52). These are assumptions here.

                        Car plans
-r200 differential kit or ford 8.8 (i cant decide)
Why change the rear diff? Because its notoriously weak.

You want the Ford 8.8. The diff itself is cheap and plentiful. LSD options are available, and there's lots of gear sets to choose from in different ratios for not much money.

The R200, not so much, which is why Z guys (which came with an R180 or R200) are starting to move over to the Ford 8.8. The 8.8 setup is also lighter than an R200 by about 15lbs, give or take, and it's stronger too - the R200 output shafts (long nose, at least), are a weak point if you're making big power.

                            thanks for insight!

Ford 8.8 it is!! the only problem I have to get an irs pumpkin. And the search continues...

                            Also f20c weight is 326lbs and s52 is 436lbs

                            Thats not too bad...
